Born in Germany in 1996, I became interested in photography because it gave me a reason to experience life more fully. For me, photography does so in two ways.
First, to make interesting photographs, you often need to be in interesting places and situations. So naturally, photography encourages me to go beyond the known and seek out the unfamiliar. In doing so, it makes life more intriguing and diverse, creating moments and encounters that might never have happened otherwise.
Secondly, engaging with the work of other photographers gives me glimpses into different ways of perceiving and interpreting the world. Through this, photography expands my awareness, creativity, and compassion, and allows me to experience many more facets of life.
This desire to experience more aspects of life led me to buy my first camera at the beginning of 2023. Since then, I have been dedicating as much time as possible to seeing the world, improving my photographic skills, and documenting the people, places, and stories that fascinate me.
